.
The prayer room is open about one-half hour before the beginning of each service. Everyone is invited to use this time to prepare for the upcoming service. The White Room downstairs is currently being used for this purpose.
.
Sunday worship opens with congregational exhortation & prayer in the main congregation area. This time is designed to help each member focus upon, and prepare themselves for, the service that is about to begin.
.
Our worship team embraces, and our song services reflect the best of Christian music from the most classic of traditional hymns to the most contemporary of Christian worship. The Holy Spirit has given the Church a rich heritage in music, and we enjoy giving that gift back to Him as worship and praise.
.
To promote family worship, families remain together during the time of the song service. Children enjoy the music, and the opportunity to observe their parents worshipping, builds precious memories, and encourages their faith.
.
Following the morning song service, the children (ages 2 years through 6th grade), are dismissed to Super Church classes. Our Youth Ministries programs are designed to provide enjoyable, Christ-centered, biblically based instruction for our youngest saints. This takes place during the time of the sharing of the word (for the adults) in the main congregational area.
.
The Nursery facilities are available for individual use from the beginning of pre-service prayer. A nursery attendant is available immediately following the song service for ministry to our youngest saints (ages 4 months through 2 years).
.
FIRST THURSDAY PRAYER:
.
The First Thursday of every month has been set-aside for honoring the Lord through fasting and prayer. The day concludes with congregational prayer in the White Room from 7:00pm until about 8:00pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Visitors are always welcome!
.
MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDY:
.
Wednesday Nights have been set-aside for our weekly Bible Study classes. Starting promptly at 7:00pm and lasting about one hour, these classes give the student an opportunity to thoroughly investigate the various books of the Bible. The text under investigation is generally advertised in the weekly bulletin. Bible Study classes run continuously throughout the calendar year with just two scheduled breaks: (1) Christmas Break (the month of December), and (2) Summer Break (the months of July and August).
.
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP ("The Rib Section"):
.
The 2nd and 4th Thursday Night of the month, the women meet for fellowship, Bible Study and personal ministry. "The Rib Section". is led by the leadership women of SCC and is designed to allow for the study of topics of particular interest to women. All women age 16 and over are welcome to attend. Visitors are always welcome. Contact the church office for location.
SPECIAL MINISTRIES AND SERVICES:
.
Home Fellowship Meetings: We are currently investigating the establishment of several home fellowship meetings. These get-together's offer a tremendous opportunity to get to know each other on a much more personal level, and greatly increase the opportunity for personal ministry and specialized Bible Study.
GUESTS AND VISITORS - this is an EXCELLENT opportunity to get to know the SCC church family members that live in your area. Contact the church office for dates and locations.
Communion Service: We celebrate the Lord's Table ("Communion") on the first Sunday of every month during morning worship. All believers and their children are invited to participate. In addition to the first Sunday of the month, we also celebrate communion on our church anniversary (in September), and on Easter Sunday morning.
.
Baptismal Services: Following instructional classes, baptismal services are held on an "as needed" basis. Anyone old enough to understand their need for salvation, and what water baptism entails, is eligible for baptism. Anyone interested in being baptized should contact one of the pastors. (Parental involvement and consent is required for children under the age of 18 years.)
.
Youth Group: Youth Group is scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month during the sharing of the morning message. All youth ages 13 through 18 years (7th through 12th grades), are welcome, and invited to attend.
